In my first post in the series titled Confessions of an Apple Fanboy I spoke about support and how it is the biggest reason I keep getting Apple devices. I was going to post a small update on the bottom of the original post but decided to add it as a new post.

So since that last email Apple organised for a TNT Courier to come and collect my 2018 MacBook Pro, all I had to do was reset the device and place it in a box. When the TNT Courier arrived he labelled the box and took it away.

That night I got an updated email from Apple saying they have the device and a replacement has been shipped. Now at this point I thought I would be waiting 5 to 6 weeks.

Yet a day later I got an email saying TNT had my device and is bringing it to me. I can only assume that Apple has a spare stock supply for this type of replacement.

The device is coming!

And then this morning the following arrived at home. A 2021 16″ MacBook Pro M1 Pro, I am writing this last post from the Mac now and loving it. I spent a few hours setting it up and I have to say the battery is awesome, the screen is beautiful and the keyboard is a pleasure to type on. It’s like night and day compared to the 2018 Keyboard I had.

All in all a great solution for Apple and one that was relatively easy for me, yes I had to go to an Apple Store, to confirm my device going back was fine. Though regardless I was happy with the process and will keep buying Apple devices (much to my wife’s frustrating) into the future.
